Sweet harmonies, murder ballads, working class epics and lost highway blues. Local 164 play a brand of music inspired by great country artists of the 20th century like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Ralph Stanley, with modern influences such as Bob Dylan, Nick Lowe, and Steve Earle.

They released their first album Dreams From Belle County in 2014 and have had a busy live show schedule in support of the album. They have played such Toronto favourites as The Horseshoe Tavern, 3030 Dundas, The Painted Lady, and have regular monthly shows at The Tranzac Club and The Jam Factory.
